Now users can watch and listen to what they want, where they want, when they can.
Using Plus! Sync & Go for Pocket PC, users can synchronize content quickly and easily between the desktop computer and their Pocket PC. Users can use Plus! Sync & Go on their computer to select and organize content from the Internet and Media Library in Windows Media Player on the PC. They can also decide when and how they want Plus! Sync & Go to synchronize the content to their device’s storage card. After Plus! Sync & Go automatically synchronizes the selected content, users can play back that content on their Pocket PC.
Plus! Sync & Go enables users to manage synchronized content for up to six storage cards. Users can organize the synchronized content into groups, such as news and music. Within each group, users can assign content to individual presets, similar to the preset buttons on a car or home stereo, which makes it easy for users to select and play the content they want.
For example, users might want to use Plus! Sync & Go to synchronize the playlists in their Media Library to their storage card so that they can listen to their favorite music while they are traveling. Users might also want to synchronize local news and sports reports from the Internet to their storage card so they can listen to the content at their convenience.
Add Storage Card Wizard — Makes Adding a Storage Card Easy
Before users can use Plus! Sync & Go to synchronize content between a desktop computer and a Pocket PC, they must add the device’s storage card to Plus! Sync & Go by using the Add Storage Card Wizard.
The Add Storage Card Wizard steps users through the process of configuring the storage card that is connected to the computer. The Wizard also provides sample content from the Internet and the user’s Media Library in Windows Media Player that they can download and synchronize to their storage card.
Automatically Synchronize the Latest Content
By default, Plus! Sync & Go synchronizes content continuously with the storage card that is connected to the user’s computer. If new content is available to be synchronized, Plus! Sync & Go synchronizes that content when users first connect the storage card to the computer, and every 60 minutes thereafter until the card is disconnected from the computer. At any time, users can start and stop synchronization manually. If users select new content for a preset by using the Add Storage Card Wizard or the Content Selection Wizard, they can also choose to synchronize that content to the storage card immediately after either wizard closes.
Sample Content From Internet Content Providers
If users are connected to the Internet when they run the Add Storage Card Wizard, the “Include sample content from the Internet” page appears. On this page, users can select content from the Internet, including news and current events programs supplied by selected Internet content providers, that they want Plus! Sync & Go to synchronize to a storage card. Users can assign this content to six different presets that appear in the default News group. After users finish the Add Storage Card Wizard, they can change the content that Plus! Sync & Go synchronizes to the News group at any time.
The Plus! Sync & Go Desktop is a simple, one-stop location to help users easily manage and organize synchronized content on the Pocket PC. It serves as the central hub for determining how content will be organized on the user’s Pocket PC device and for managing the synchronization process. Plus! Sync & Go Desktop shows the synchronization status as files are being copied to the Pocket PC.
The Plus! Sync & Go for Pocket PC Player for Windows Mobile 2003 provides users with a simple interface for enjoying all their synchronized content. Users just click and hold their stylus on group of content and the full selection of programs for that group will automatically appear. Users can then simply select their program.
Other key benefits of the Plus! Sync & Go Player include these:
Easy switching between content. Plus! Sync & Go Player was designed to make enjoying a full library of synchronized content easy. From the Pocket PC, users can access a full library of recently synchronized content with a few touches of the stylus. Switching between many different types of content on a device running Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PCs devices has never been so easy.
Remembers right where the user left off, even per card. Plus! Sync & Go Player intelligently keeps track of the exact spot where the user was listening, so users can pick up right where they left off. If users change storage cards in their Pocket PC, Plus! Sync & Go Player will remember precisely where the user stopped listening with that particular storage card. This means that users never lose their place with multiple storage cards, and never have to listen to the same content twice.
Three great looks. Users can easily change the look of Plus! Sync and Go for Pocket PC Player by choosing one of three skins: the default skin, Techno Skin for a space-aged look or XXL for larger, easy-to-select buttons. Users can do this by selecting Tools > Skins from the Plus! Sync and Go Player on their Pocket PC.
Find music easily. Plus! Sync and Go Player allows users to sort their library of synchronized music grouped by artist, album and track, and is sortable alphabetically. Users can do this by choosing “Select” from the Plus! Sync and Go Player on their Pocket PC.
