IELTS Speaking Part 1 Telephone and Mobile
Phones Question and
Answers
1. How often do you make telephone calls? [Why/Why not?]
I rarely use my landline phone, but I use my cell phone constantly. I make
and receive phone calls on my mobile device, send and receive text
messages, and occasionally access the internet.
On my phone, I frequently
play games while listening to my favorite music. I hardly ever go a day
without using it.
2. What was your first mobile phone?
In 2012, I purchased a Motorola phone as my first mobile phone. Because I
was a school student and
had limited funds at the time, it was extremely
pricey. I took a part-time job to get the cash, which I used to purchase from
a mall. Fortunately, it turned out that buying the phone was a wise decision.
3. Who do you spend the most time talking to on the phone? [Why?]
That
would be my mother, I think. She is quite close to me and becomes
concerned if I am absent for more than a few hours. When I am away from
home, she calls me a few times a day, and I can tell her almost anything.
She is the person I talk to on the phone or on my cell phone the most
because of these factors.
4. When do you think you’ll next make a telephone call? [Why?]
After
I leave the exam room, I'll give my mother a call to let her know
everything is great and my test went really well. I'll give her a call because I
know she's anxious to hear from me and find out how well I did on the test.
5. Do you sometimes prefer to send a text message instead of
telephoning? [Why/Why not?]
Yes, there are occasions when texting someone makes more
sense and is
more practical than contacting them. For instance, I would choose SMS
over phone calls if I were in a meeting or a crowded area. Additionally, I
would rather send a text message than call the intended recipient if I
needed to convey an address,
a phone number, or an email address.
6. Can you describe the mobile phone that you are currently using?
I'm now using an iPhone. It had many fascinating features and apps while
being relatively pricey. The FACE ID lock system is really practical and the
screen response is flawless. It always works. In addition,
the camera is
fantastic and does not have a delay, allowing me to constantly record
several moments.
