Topic: The essence and concept, classification and scope of multimedia
Multimedia is content that uses a combination of different forms of content (such as text, audio, images, animation, video, and interactive information). He opposes the use of media only from simple computer displays, such as text or traditional forms of print.

    concept of multimedia technology

    concept of multimedia technology
Multimedia can be recorded and played back, displayed, interacted with or processed by various devices (computer and electronic) and can be part of a live performance. Multimedia devices are electronic multimedia gadgets used to store and play such content.

    Terminology

The term multimedia was coined by singer and artist Bob Goldstein in July 1966 to promote the opening of LightWorks at L'Oursin in Southampton, Long Island.

On August 10, 1966, Variety's Richard Albarino borrowed the terminology by creating an ad for the newest musical show. Two years later, in 1968, the term "multimedia" was mentioned again in the documents.

Over the years, the word has taken on many different meanings. In the late 1970s, the term referring to presentations consisting of multi-projection slide shows was limited to an audio track. However, in the 1990s, the concept of "multimedia" technology acquired its current meaning.

In the first edition of Multimedia: Making This Work in 1993, Tay Vaughan defined it as any combination of text, graphics, sound, animation and video that can be reproduced by a computer. If you allow the user viewing these files to control that content, it is considered interactive media. Interactive media becomes hypermedia if a structure of relevant elements is provided through which the user can navigate.

The main concepts of multimedia technology are as follows. Generally, the term refers to a mix of electronically delivered media, including video, still images, audio, and text, that can be accessed online. Most of the content on the Internet today fits this definition, which is understood by millions of people. Some computers released in the 1990s were called "multimedia" because they included a CD-ROM drive that could transfer several hundred megabytes of video, image, and audio data. This period also contributed to the creation of multimedia CDs.

the essence of the concept of multimedia

the essence of the concept of multimedia
The term "video" is ambiguous in multimedia terminology, unless it is used only to describe a moving photograph. This name is often used to describe a file or presentation format instead of "frames", which refers to moving photos selected from "animation" (moving images). The essence of the concept of multimedia is sometimes controversial.

Thus, plural forms of information content are often not considered modern forms of audio or video. Similarly, particular forms of information content with unique methods of information processing (such as non-interactive sound) are often called multimedia, perhaps to distinguish between static media and active ones.

    Main features
A more detailed understanding of multimedia and multimedia technologies can be as follows. The following types of content are included in this category.

Multimedia presentations can be viewed through a projector and streamed through a media player or played locally. The broadcast can be a live or recorded presentation. Broadcasts and recordings can be analog or digital electronic technology. Online digital media can be downloaded or streamed. Streaming data can be broadcast live or on demand.

Multimedia games and simulations can be used with special effects in a physical environment, multiple users online or locally with a stand-alone computer, game system or simulator.

Various technological or digital media formats can be designed to improve the user experience, for example by simplifying and speeding up the transmission of information.

Increasing the level of interactivity is possible by combining several forms of media content. Still vague in concept and definition, Internet multimedia is becoming object-oriented and driven. This enables collaborative innovation and personalization of applications with multiple forms of content over time. Examples of these changes are from several forms of information on websites, such as user updates
