INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON MECHANICS
“THE SEVENTH POLYAKHOV’S READING”
Conference dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Konstantin I. Strakhovich
First announcement
The International Scientific Conference on Mechanics "The Seventh Polyakhov’s Reading" dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Konstantin I. Strakhovich (1904-1968) will be held at the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, Saint Petersburg State University, Russia,
February 2-6, 2015.
About Conference
Conference history dates back to 1997, when, under the name "Polyakhov’s reading" it was first held as the All-Russian conference in memory of the outstanding scientist, Professor N.N.Polyakhov (1906-1987), who left a bright trace in the history of science. The conference attracted wide attention of Russian and foreign scientists, involved in problems of modern mechanics. Since 2003, "Polyakhov’s reading" acquired the status of an international conference and traditionally held in St. Petersburg once in three years. The conference topic covers almost all the fundamental areas of modern mechanics and continues to expand in line with the development of science. There are new sections on current research directions. This feature of the conference is associated with broad interests of Professor N.N. Polyakhov.

History of Mechanics
Working languages of the conference are Russian and English.
Collected abstracts (in Russian or in English) will be published before the beginning of the conference.
Conference papers are planned to be published (only in English) after the conference in the “Proceedings of the 2015 International Conference on Mechanics - Seventh Polyakhov's Reading”.
Papers in Proceedings volume will be sent to IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
The IEEE Conference Publication Program (CPP) assures wide distribution of conference proceedings by providing abstracting and indexing of all individual conference papers for inclusion in worldwide databases. The CPP makes every reasonable attempt to ensure that abstracts and index entries of content accepted into the program are included in databases provided by independent abstracting and indexing (A&I) services. Each A&I partner makes its own editorial decision on what content it will index. IEEE cannot guarantee entries are included in any particular database.
