Plan of the Lesson

  1. Checking of home task .( 10 – 15 min.)

  2. Talking on current events (5 min.)

  3. Presentation of the lesson plan: definition of the subject aims and expected results of the student’s activity. Study the theme (15-20 min.)

  4. Discuss meaning of new words (cluster).(10 min.)

  5. Working on different exercises and questions for discussion.(15-20min.)

Resume the results, correction, marking, giving the home task. ( 10 min.)

Purpose of the Lesson

Contribute to knowledge of students about theme, assist the students in understanding a common meaning about Lifestyle, develop student’s reading skills and analytical skills and abilities to make research. Listening skills.

Pedagogical tasks:

  1. Introduction of a new topic through the presentation about theme

  2. Make students work with text vocabulary, match appropriate meanings of new words

  3. Give students plenty of time to develop their listening skills

  4. Give the task to analyze and express own opinion


Results of the students activity:

  1. Getting acquainted with the common meaning of the topic.

  2. Comprehend the text with new words so that to be able to discuss its main issue..

About Myself


First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Nikita. I'm seventeen years old. I'm at 11-th grade.
There are two more kids in the family besides me — my elder brother Oleg and my younger sister M. Oleg is twenty-one, he attends a University, he will be a dentist. Marija is only twelve, she is a schoolgirl.
My Mum is forty, she works for a newspaper. My Dad is forty-four, he is an engineer in computers. My parents love their jobs very much. I'm doing quite well at school. My parents are proud of my marks. I go in for sports. I play basket-ball. In summer time I like yachting and windsurfing. I take part in different basket-ball competitions.
In a year I shall finish my school and I have to decide what occupation to choose. I have been studying English for seven years. I want to be a military interpreter.
I enjoy listening to music. I like pop and classic music. I enjoy listening to our English national songs and also pop English songs. Sometimes I sing myself. I have a good voice. I also can play guitar. When we have some party with our group mates I take my guitar and play it. And you? What is your hobby?
