Nowadays, children's obesity is an ongoing and daunting problem. And some individuals believe that the government should take responsibility for this issue. I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. And in this essay, I will explain the reasons.
The government is mainly responsible for this crisis, and the principal reason for it is that in recent years, it should have been providing sports programs instead of supporting the diverse and alluring advertisements about sugary and unhealthy foods on social media. Because, when these sugary products advertise through the Internet and various social applications, and even TV and radio, children encourage to buy and eat them. For example, diverse and stunning sorts of advertisements about chocolate cand persuade children more.
In addition, the government is also responsible for this difficulty, because it could not manage well-organized and beneficial sports programs for pupils in schools. Thus, society especially children have faced obesity in the few last years, and in the long-term, this will have been worse. For instance, students should play sports for at least 2 hours per day and now it is less than 1 hour.
Moreover, one of the most indispensable duties of the government is to provide free and attainable facilities and equipment in the public area for children. Hence, it will be affordable for everyone to use them. To illustrate, there should be constructed facilities in parks or playgrounds to burn calories.
In conclusion, although we are in a grave situation and it seems to need strenuous endeavour to deal with it, the government can with viable plan tackle this disaster and alleviate it. In My view, only in this way can the government overcome this current predicament.
Nowadays, one of the controversial topics that most of us are discussing is obesity and the unhealthiness of children. Most of the time it is arguable that governments have to take responsibility for this. In contrast, I totally disagree with this statement and I am going to describe a few points behind my argument in my essay.
Firstly, children are closer to their parents and they have to control their diet. Because of this, adults can provide them with more healthy food on a daily basis, rather than junk food or food with other harmful preservatives. For instance, we can see many television and YouTube advertisements which are promoting fast-food and unhealthy food items. By seeing these types of commercials children tend to ask for these types of diets from their parents. However, adults can advise them of the harm that can occur by consuming these and guide them to proper diet habits from the infant stage.
Moreover, guardians have to direct their child to do more physical activities such as running, swimming or Gymnastics which helps to get a better metabolic system. Most of the countries have children parks and jogging or cycle tracks. Society can gain the advantage for the betterment of their child's health. In addition, these types of activities will help the mental health of the child since they can spend time with nature. Furthermore, if children can be directed by the adults for exercise on a routine basis it will be beneficial for their future as well.
To conclude, by going through the above points we can comprehend that, the predominant responsibility of child health depends on the adult's direction, but not within the government's hands.
Healthy citizens are a major factor in a country's development. Developed nations are facing an obesity epidemic. One can argue, that the government should take necessary steps to curb this problem. I agree that the government should aware more people about a healthy lifestyle and take ownership.
Firstly, children are becoming obese and unhealthy because of increasing adulteration in food. Although this might not be the only problem, but it is a major one. For example, foods are frequently tested positive for lead and mercury in developing countries. These pollutant attack our metabolism and kills gut bacteria, hence increasing weight. In addition, recent studies have shown the link between lead consumption and cancer. Government should increase the penalty on food business found adulterating. Also, there should be frequent visits by the health inspector on all food businesses and restaurants.
Secondly, in developing countries, health is more dependent on factors which government can control. For instance, clean water, minimal pollution and proper medicines. If we look at India, the most common diseases are polio, dengue and malaria. All of these can be controlled by proper measure taken by the government. For example, awareness programs should be introduced in every state to educate people on these issues. Furthermore, free vaccine camps for children should be run. This can kill diseases at a very young age.
To conclude, unless government takes the necessary steps, this problem will only escalate. In order to promote a healthy lifestyle, It is their responsibility to provide each citizen with good food and medicines.
