    Safety Procedures


    The safety in the deep coal mining industry should bе taken very seriously. lt is necessary to report annual figures of fatal and non-fatal incidents as per the ,·egulatory board.
    Deep mining has issues related to ventilation and mine collapse which are com­ plicated to handle. There is а possibility of а mine collapse in some cases. The safety risk will bе there in alI types of mining due to the use of heavy machinery. То avoid explosions, methods are necessary to remove methane prior and during excavation.
    ln one of the works, the images and videos from the mining area are sent to а cloud server. If the server is not accessible, the data could bе stored locally in the Raspberry Pi and transmitted when the link is re-established.
    Ву this, the home monitoring is made easier [ 1 ]. Raspberry Pi can Ье the used for smart purposes and client-server communications. The various attributes availaЫe in Raspberry Pi are introduced [2]. The possiЬility of live sensor data transmission from raspberry pi to ubuntu operating system using ZigBee technology is explored [3]. А metering device which senses and sends the гeading Ьу use of ZigBee is then processed. It then proposes that the data should Ье sent for Ьilling purposes. [4]. An autonomous robot which can recognise commands provided Ьу the hand gestures is exhiЬited with а help of microcontroller and an accelerometer [5]. А powerful system using Raspberry Pi as an intelligent device using which numerous things can Ье interconnected and can Ье managed from an extended range was proposed [6].
    Suggestions to design а wireless sensor network making use of microcontroller which is аЫе to observe the ditferent parameters like humidity, methane and carbon dioxide in an underground mine was proposed [7]. Various digital and analog sensors could Ье used along with Raspberry Pi to obtain mine data. Analog to digital converter like МСР3008 is required when using analog sensors because Raspberry Pi does not have inbuilt ADC [8]. It was proposed to build gateways for IoT with Raspberry Pi. Low роwег wireless packet communication RF modules provides components to build IoT applications quickly and easily [9]. Using wireless communication, sending environmental parameter data from sensors located in mines and transmitted to the control room was proposed. [10]. Environment monitoring using both Raspberry Pi and Aurdino with wireless sensor networks is also proposed [11]. For exterior and otfline analysis purpose, the data can Ье taken from the Thingspeak database as CSV or Jason or РНР format [12].



    1. Experimental Analysis

    The Ыосk diagram of experimental setup with sensor, raspberry pi, ХВееs, relay and pump is indicated in Fig. 1. Its actual setup is shown in Fig. 2.
