To start an upgrade on a computer running Windows Server 2003 with SP1
Insert the second CD, which contains the components specific to Windows Server 2003 R2 in the drive, and wait for Setup to display a dialog box.
Follow the Setup instructions.
To start an upgrade on a computer running Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 or Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
You can also upgrade to Windows Server 2003 R2 from the following operating systems:
Windows NT® Server 4.0 with Service Pack 5 or later
Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition, with Service Pack 5 or later
Windows 2000 Server
Insert the first CD in the drive, and wait for Setup to display a dialog box.
Follow the Setup instructions.
Important
When you are prompted to enter the product key, be sure to enter the product key that comes with the two installation CDs included in the Windows Server 2003 R2 release package.
After Setup for Windows Server 2003 with SP1 is complete, log on to the computer with your administrator password. You are prompted to insert the second CD.
