To see a desk band, right click on the taskbar (area connected to the start button). Select the toolbar's menu item from the context menu. Listed are the available desk bands. Initially desk bands are docked on the taskbar. The user can then drag the desk band to the desktop, and it will appear as a normal window:

This paper describes the requirements and implementation of toolbar and their capabilities using LoginSoft’s toolbar. The toolbar is written in C++ using Active Template Library (ATL) and Win32 Programming.
