‘picture’ will be described by the tools of system modeling and the second one – by the
agent-based modeling approach. It is interesting to see how formal methods can attract
the ‘external’ requirements of application and technology, while using agents opens to
the researcher the broader capabilities each entity within environment can demonstrate.
In figure 1 such relationship for proposed statements is depicted: we have two logical
spaces wherein application requirements to be taken into consideration, one for soft-
ware engineering tasks that have the fundamental basis of reference modeling (this may
include model-driven development, UML-modeling, etc.), and another space is for
MAS with related techniques and tools (mainly based on intelligent systems) of agent
behavior attraction.
