Figure [csh-003]: User does not have a root privilege, and failed to get a root shell access
Again, we failed to get a root shell using CSH.
CASE 3 – TCSH
After STEP 1 ~ 6:
figure[tcsh-001]: Failed same as CSH Case.
Since TCSH is made to be compatible with CSH, we have a same result as CASE 2.
With these 3 cases of experiment, we confirmed that in Red hat 8.0, shell back doors are not easily created as used to be in older version. Is this result tells us that we don’t have to worry about shell back doors?
Let’s give it a final try.
