    Start another anti-virus scan, and then:

    1. Check the CPU and memory load of vsmon.exe, zlclient.exe and ScanningProcess.exe

    2. Allow the scan to proceed for a few minutes and then shutdown ZoneAlarm.

    3. Verify that vsmon.exe, zlclient.exe and ScanningProcess.exe don’t display in the Windows Task Task Manager

    8. Turn antivirus on-access off, adjust ZoneAlarm settings (experimentally), and then:

    - Run different applications that you typically use

    - Surf the Internet using Internet Explorer or FireFox

    - Try to upload/download files via HTTP(S), FTP, or Windows share

    - Hard reboot your PC – check system startup time and validate that the difference from the usual time taken for startup is acceptable

    - Shutdown and restart ZA – verify that there are no freezes or slowdowns

    - Shutdown and restart your PC - verify that there are no freezes or slowdowns

    - Put your computer into sleep mode or hibernation and wake up - verify that there are no freezes or slowdowns
    9. Verify that Anti-virus on-access scan is on, and then:

    - Copy or move folders containing many small files and folders from disk to disk – verify that there are no freezes or slowdowns

    - Copy files to and from USB devices, CDs, DVDs, MDs – verify that there are no freezes or slowdowns

    - Copy files from the network (by FTP or by share) – verify that there are no freezes or slowdowns

    - Zip and unzip big files – verify that there are no freezes or slowdowns

    - Plug-in different USB devices, Wi-Fi devices, etc. – make sure they are identified and work as expected

    - Print documents

    If you observe any performance issues, please turn off anti-virus on-access and test again.


    10. Un-installation and reinstallation

    - Uninstall the product; make sure there are no freezes. Make sure that vsmon.exe and zlclient.exe are not running after removal. Make sure that there are no networking issues or other problems.

    - Install again. Make sure installation was successful and that no problems occurred.
    11. Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) /Active sync test:

    - Make sure you can successfully synchronize your mobile device when ZoneAlarm is running
