Installation procedure

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

• 
  Administrator (Windows NT) or Power User (Windows XP or 2000) account for installing the certificate and the Amadeus Selling Platform application.
  
• 
  Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher.
  
• 
  See page 3 for full overview of technical and software requirements.
  
• 
  Amadeus Selling Platform and ProTempo on the same workstation is not recommended.
  
• 
  Microsoft Patch MS02-048 is required for Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 (Except for Windows XP SP1 And Windows 2000 SP4).
  
• 
  TERMINAL SERVER users are advised to follow the instructions in the Amadeus Selling Platform Terminal Server Installation Guide.
  
• 
  Ensure that all old Amadeus applications has been removed (i.e. Pro Tempo, Attachmate etc.)
  

1. 
   Prerequisites
   

• 
  Check your Internet Explorer settings according to this table.

  Add http://*.sca.amadeus.com as a Trusted Site.
  (Tools / Internet Options / Security / Trusted Sites / Sites)

  If you have Windows XP SP2 installed, add http://*.amadeusvista.com as a Trusted Site.
  

2. 
   Installation of the certificate
   

• 
  Log on to your workstation as an administrator (Windows NT) or Power User (Windows XP and 2000).
  
• 
  Open an Internet Explorer Session
  
• 
  Go to: http://certificates.amadeusvista.com/sgwadmin/
  
• 
  Enter your Certificate Identifier (CID) in the CID field
  
• 
  Click on submit request button. This may take a little while
  
• 
  You will then be prompted with the following message: Security Gateway Registration succeeded
  

3. 
   Installation of Amadeus Selling Platform
   

• 
  Open an Internet Explorer session
  
• 
  Go to: http://amadeusvista.com
  
• 
  A dialogue box requesting if you want to install Amadeus Selling Platform is displayed
  
• 
  Click in the box Close all Internet Explorer Windows to activate Yes
  
• 
  Click on Yes
  
• 
  If this is the first time you install an Amadeus product, a dialogue box requesting the path where you want to install Amadeus Selling Platform is displayed
  
• 
  Keep or change the path and Click on OK
  
• 
  You will then be prompted with the following message: Amadeus Selling Platform Updated
  
• 
  Click on OK
  
• 
  If you have Windows XP SP2 installed, make sure the Windows Firewall does not block Automatic Update from accessing the internet.
  

4. 
   Launch of Amadeus Selling Platform
   

• 
  Log on to you workstation with your regular user name.
  
• 
  Open an Internet Explorer session
  
• 
  Go to: http://amadeusvista.com
  
• 
  Click on Launch Amadeus Selling Platform. This may take a little while
  
• 
  The sign-in page is then displayed
  
• 
  Enter your Amadeus sign in, duty code and password (if you have one)
  
• 
  Click on Sign in
  

You are now able to book in Amadeus Selling Platform

7 Troubleshooting
Error messages that can occur while installing/running Amadeus Selling Platform

Steps to solve this issue

1. 
   This generally occurs when Automatic Update is stopped, check that Automatic Update is up and running. You can also try to restart the service.
   
2. 
   Be certain that the local policy settings are correctly configured.
   
3. 
   Contact Amadeus IT-Support.
   

Steps to solve this issue

1. 
   Check the computer clock and make sure that the time is accurate as well as todays date.
   
2. 
   Install the Amadeus Root CA. You can find it at http://certificates.amadeusvista.com/authorities/
   
3. 
   Contact Amadeus IT-Support.
