    WWF Ukraine is seeking to recruit a dynamic, reliable and committed
    Marketing & Communications Manager

    (full-time, based in Kyiv)

    • WWF Ukraine is part of WWF Central and Eastern Europe and is focused on conservation of forests, freshwater and wildlife on national and regional level.

    We’re currently looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager whose responsibility will be to enhance and secure an effective marketing and communication work in WWF Ukrainian office, in line with global and regional strategic objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional with solid managerial experience and creative drive.
    Your responsibilities:

    General tasks

    • Lead the development and implementation of WWF’s Ukraine marketing and communication strategy on the national level, including SPMS, annual plans, targets and expected results

    • Develop and manage the implementation of a strategy for marketing components included within the Ukraine long-term strategy and related core conservation projects

    • Develop and manage national communications and marketing activities, including media work, internet and social media as well as campaigns, special events and projects

    • Manage the Marketing & Communications Team


    Lead the development and implementation of brand strategy, based on the national strategic plan

    • Lead development and implementation of a strategic “brand” profile and positioning for WWF in Ukraine within the broader WWF brand guidelines (global and regional) and in close cooperation with conservation and fundraising leads

    • Coordinate, develop and deploy marketing initiatives across the country to reach and serve selected target groups (relevant civil society groups, existing and potential partners from the private sector, governmental institutions, national and international media)

    • Plan, coordinate and manage the implementation of WWF brand guidelines in Ukraine


    Lead the development of and manage WWF’s marketing and communications activities

    • Lead the development and implementation of national marketing strategies, including strategic and annual plans, targets and expected results

    • Develop and implement a strategy and plan for monitoring and evaluating progress

    • Build strategic relationships with relevant staff from the WWF network and partner organisations

    • Propose, develop and implement a strategy for digital communications in Ukraine, covering both internal and external communications platforms, standard and social media channels

    • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities, including fundraising, to develop WWF Ukraine’s marketing and communications activities

    • Contribute to planning of conservation and fundraising projects, ensuring that marketing needs and opportunities are fully integrated

    • Develop and implement a strategy to promote WWF Ukraine and its work in relevant media at national, regional and international levels

    • Cultivate and maintain contacts with representatives of regional and international media with an interest of WWF Ukraine

    • Supervise the following activities:

      • Production and distribution of WWF Ukraine communication materials, including videos and publications

      • Maintenance and further development of an internet site and social networking for WWF Ukraine with necessary internal and external resources

      • Content development and deployment of press communications, national press trips and press conferences

      • Education work, ensuring it corresponds to the strategic goals of WWF


    What we look for?

    • University degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field

    • At least 3 years of experience in directly contributing to and defining a marketing strategy, covering brand awareness and communications. Experience with sustainability and conservation is an advantage.

    • Proven skills in communications and marketing, at both strategic and operational level, as well as project planning and implementation

    • Creativity, strategic and forward thinking

    • Excellent networker, with strong client orientation and excellent presentation skills

    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, over the phone and in person

    • Ability to communicate effectively and translate the importance of our work to our partners in a compelling manner (in written and oral form) to partners

    • Ability to write, edit and proofread written materials in English

    • A good visual sense and experience with visual communications

    • Proven skills in people management and development. Experience with coaching and mentoring is a distinct advantage.

    • Self-drive. Proven skills to organize, handle many details, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

    • Ability to work well within the national and larger international WWF team, with intercultural awareness and sensitivity

    • Fluency in English and strong computer literacy
