In line with today’s increasing globalization, Outlook enables users to choose any international dictionary to be used with its spelling checker. Users also can now create and edit a custom dictionary to handle specialized words that the spelling checker does not recognize.
If Microsoft Word is used as the e-mail editor, background spelling and grammar checking are enabled. Word automatically detects the language the user is typing in and will intelligently use the correct spelling and grammar checking, AutoCorrect, and other proofing tools. For more information on using Office applications as the e-mail editor, see the Per-Message Microsoft Office E-Mail section of this document.
