3.3. Sensors
Sensors are used to determine the status
of our environment and of
various devices. To detect temperature, humidity, light, noise and
motion. Specialized sensors detect smoke and carbon monoxide
levels; proximity sensors detect doors and windows are open or
shut. They can also detect status of devices
and location of devices
and people and so on.
