Structure and volume of the dissertation. Completed Master's thesis
consists of three chapters, a summary and a list of publications. The first section
examines the existing problems of quality assurance in road construction. The
second chapter examined the issues of improving quality control in subgrade
compaction levels. The third chapter provides recommendations on how to improve
the subgrade compaction level and their cost effectiveness.

Scientific novelty of research. Determine the correlation between the
compaction degree and moisture content, elastic modulus of subgrade soil.

Scientific and practical significance of the research results.
Using
modern equipment has improved the method of measuring the subgrade compaction
level. Improved quality control over the construction of the subgrade through
implementing of the developed method.

Principal results of the work. Recommendations have been developed to
improve the evaluate compaction degree of subgrade by modern devices. The
economical effectiveness of the recommendations were developed.

Conclusion and suggestions of work. The current problems of assessment of
compaction quality control have been studied and their shortcomings have been
identified. Compared to the currently and proposed Terratest 5000 Blu and PDU
MG-4 Udar devices, the methods for assessing the degree of compaction have been
compared. The proposed Terratest 5000 Blu and PDU MG-4 devices have been used

to evaluate the advantages of a densities assessment methodology, and they have
developed recommendations for evaluating the extent of subgrade compaction. The
economic efficiency of the developed recommendations were determined
