To Setup Internet Explorer
Make sure you are log on to the server
Look for the Key down next to the time in
the lower right hand corner.
Go to Start
Click on Programs
Click on the 
Click the Stop
Click on Tools
Click Internet Options
Home Page
Connections
For the home page type in http://www.clark.k12.ky.us
Click on the Connection Tab
LAN Settings
Click on LAN Settings
Remove the Check mark for the Automatically Detect Settings
Place a Check mark next to Use a proxy server
Click on the Advanced
Remove √
Place a √
Advanced
Type in the proxy
Proxy Address
The proxy is: proxy._____.clark.k12.ky.us
Your school abbreviation goes in the blank
Alternative/Daytreatment -- grc
Central –- cente
Clark Middle – clarkm
Conkwright -– conkm
F. Bush –-fbe
GRC –- grc
McClure –- hmce
Pilot View -– pve
Providence – prov
Shearer – she
Strode Station – sse
Trapp – trapp
Place a check mark in Use the same proxy server for all protocols
Place a √
Click ok
Click ok
Click on the Program Tab

Place a √
Place a check mark next to Internet Explorer should check to see whether it
is the default browser
Click Ok
Close Internet Explorer and open it again
You should get a dialog box: remove the check mark and click Ok
For Windows 98/Windows 2000
Click on Start
Click Programs
Find Internet Explorer: RIGHT click (DO NOT LET GO AFTER YOU CLICK)
Drag out to the desktop and let go of the click
Select create a short cut here
For Windows 95
Right click on Start
Click Explorer
Double Click Programs
Right Click on Internet Explorer (DO NOT LET GO AFTER YOU CLICK)
Drag to the desktop let go of click
Select create a short cut here
