Troubleshooting
If the Iomega drive is not assigned a drive letter, you will need to adjust the SCSI adapter settings for the Protected Mode driver. Make sure the driver loaded properly:
1. Right mouse button click on the My Computer icon.
2. Click on the Properties option.
3. Click on the Device Manager tab.
4. Double click on the SCSI Controllers line.
Does the Iomega adapter driver icon have a Yellow circle with an exclamation
point on it? This means that the resources for the Iomega SCSI adapter are not
set properly. Change the Port Address and/or Interrupt resource settings to
match the switch or jumper settings on the SCSI adapter. Once these resource
settings match, the driver will load and assign the Iomega drive a letter.
5. Highlight the Iomega Adapter that you just installed, and then click on the
Properties button.
6. Click on the Resources tab.
7. Verify that the Input/Output Range and the Interrupt Request options are
set to the appropriate values.
8. If either option is incorrect, highlight the option and click on the Change
Setting button. Select the correct setting and click on OK .
9. Click OK to close the adapter window. Click OK to close the System Properties window.
10. Reboot.
