Windows XP Professional/Windows Whistler Server: Support booting from network per Compaq-Intel-Phoenix BIOS Boot Specification, Version 1.01, Appendix C (x86-based systems) or EFI boot manager (Itanium-based systems). For Windows XP Professional clients and x86-based servers, it is not required that the system include a network adapter that supports booting from the network, although such a network adapter must be available as an option at point of purchase; if the system does include such a network adapter, then it must meet the related requirements; see B7.1.4.5 for network adapter requirements.
