Was your monitor selected on startup.

You can verify that the correct monitor was selected by the following:

Right mouse click on the desktop (move the mouse cursor to an empty spot on the screen and click the right mouse button), select "Properties" and left mouse click to open the Display Properties dialog box.

In the Display Properties dialog box, click on the Settings Tab

Depending upon which version of Windows 95 you have, you will click on the "Change Display Type" or "Advanced Properties" button

If your monitor is listed in the Monitor Type field or listed under the Monitor tab the system has detected your new monitor, all that is needed now, is for you to select the preferred resolution and refresh rate.
If your monitor is not detected automatically continue with "Selecting your monitor in the Display Properties box"
