Check that the students understand the meaning of the
adjectives first. Then, ask them the spelling rules and, in
pairs, have them take turns to say what these rules are.
Write the answers on the board and ask the students to
check their spelling carefully.

Do the first question as an example by inviting the class
to give you possible adverbs. Encourage them to look
at Exercises 1 and 3. Then, ask them to complete the

Ask fast finishers to make new questions with the adverbs
they haven’t used and then take turns to ask and answer
their new questions.
