LISTENING
1
Ask the students to read the
question and look at the
notes, and ask ‘What do you think the boy and his
friend Nadia are talking about?’ (
the details – dates,
times, address and transport – of a street food festival
)
Encourage them to predict
what the boy wants Nadia to
do before they listen.
Answers
He wants Nadia to go to a street food festival.
2
Read the dates, prices, numbers and times to the
students and ask them to repeat.
Ask them to write at
least two dates, two prices,
two numbers and two times
each to test their partner.
Answers
Students’ own answers
FAST FINISHERS
Fast finishers write some questions which require a price,
date, time or number as the answer. When the others are
ready, they ask the class their questions.
Then, organise
the class into small groups, each with a
fast finisher. The fast finishers ask their questions and the
others answer.
3
Ask the students to read the
notes first and say what
kind of information is missing in each question (
1 dates,
2 website name, 3 price, 4 time, 5 name, 6 number
).
Remind them that they may hear two possible answers,
but only one of them answers the question correctly.
