Encourage the students to try to answer these questions
before they read the article again. Point out that they
need to write their answers in full sentences.

TALKING POINTS
After the students have completed the video activities,
encourage them to take turns to ask and answer the
questions in pairs. Point out that things like ice cream
stalls, hot dogs and ‘churros’ (fried dough sold in Spain)
are also examples of street food.
MIXED ABILITY
With a
mixed ability class
,
pair up stronger students with
weaker ones. Encourage the weaker ones to read out
the questions and allow them to give shorter answers.
Encourage stronger students to give fuller answers.
VOCABULARY

Ask the students to look at the food in the photos and try
to name it before they match them to the words in blue
in the text. Check that the students can pronounce these
words correctly by asking them to listen and repeat.
