To set a picture as a background, select Start > Settings > Today. On the Appearance tab, check the box Use this picture as the background. Browse to the picture. Select OK.
Changing the items on the Today screen
You can also change the items that appear on the Today screen. Simply select Start > Settings > Today and select the Items tab. Check the boxes of the items you’d like to appear on your Today screen.
With Windows Mobile 5.0 you can assign individual ring tones to each of your friends, business associates or other contacts.
To do so, select Start > Contacts. Select the contact to whom you’d like to assign a particular ring tone. Select Menu > Edit, and then select Ring tone. Select the ring tone you’d like to use from the scroll-down menu. Select OK.
Windows Mobile 5.0 supports a variety of ring-tone formats, including WAV, WMA and MP3. If you have a song or sound that you’d like to add to your ring-tone collection, save the file in your device’s My Sounds folder. You can then navigate to it following the steps above.
