the power system, e.g. through tracking and oriented depending on demand requirements, and
hybrid systems with storage. In this respect, the introduction of locational and time adjustments
into bidding levels could be worth considering to foster solar generation where and when it
maximises value to the power system. Moreover, the government should also explore other
flexibility sources such as PSH and batteries when considering further deployment of solar
generation in the decade and beyond. Appropriate conditions need to be in place for the
balancing market so that these sources are incentivised enough to participate in the market.
