GLOSSARY
Metrology - Measurement, methods and means of ensuring their uniformity, and methods of achievement of the required accuracy.
Unity of measurements - The results of the measurements are expressed in units legally and the probability of the measurement error is known.
State system for measuring unity of measurements - is interrelated and interconnected, determining the requirements, rules, regulations, rules and procedures of carrying out work on ensuring the uniformity of measurements by the state. which is a set of international, interstate and national standards and methodological documents. Such set of documents shall be approved by the national authority for metrology and (or) for use in the territory of the country.
Measuring means - Technical means with metrological properties, used for measuring and measuring.
Unity Measurement - Measurement tool designed to restore and maintain the size of a physical unit for measuring the size of a physical magnitude to another metering device.

Measurement of Measuring Instruments - a set of actions performed by the state metrological service (other authorized bodies, organizations) for the purpose of establishing and validating compliance of measuring apparatuses with the established technical requirements.
Calibration Measuring Instruments - A set of activities performed by the calibration lab to identify and validate the actual values and the applicable metrological characteristics of metering devices.
License (purchase, sale, lease) of means of measurements - a document, issued by the state metrological service, to legal and physical persons, confirming the right to engage in the specified types of activity.
Metrological certification of measuring means - recognition by the metrological service of the right to use, based on a thorough examination of the measuring means produced on the territory of Uzbekistan (or in the territory of Uzbekistan).
Official recognition of the right to conduct metrological services, centers, accreditation of laboratories - metrological services, centers, laboratories within the framework of accreditation.
Accreditation of the metrological services of legal persons for the right to calibrate means - an official recognition of the calibration of measurements metrological services of legal entities.
Metrological certification of methods of measurements - a research carried out with the purpose of assessment and confirmation of conformity of the method of measurements to the given metrological requirements.
