Detailed Steps



Complete these steps from an internet-connected Windows computer.

Disable Azure Active Directory -integrated MFA for enabled users

  1. On DC1, in Internet Explorer you should have the Multi-Factor Authentication management portal open

  2. Select JohnF (and any other enabled or enforced users) and click Disable

  3. Click yes, and click close

Disable multi-factor authentication in AD FS

  1. Still on the DC1 VM switch to the AD FS Management Console

  2. In the left navigation pane, click Authentication Policies

  3. In the right actions pane, click Edit Global Multi-factor Authentication

  4. Deselect Extranet, and click OK
