Communication of 9.X.1995:
Telecom Italia, Roma, announces the introduction of area codes 347, 348 and 349 for the mobile service of the new company “Omnitel Pronto Italia”, as from October 1995. The (national) subscriber number length (excluding country code and language digit) for these area codes is minimum nine digits and maximum ten digits.

Telecommunications of Jamaica Limited (TOJ), Kingston, announces the introduction, on 1 October 1995, of the new code (NXX) “919” for the cellular mobile telephone service in Jamaica.
Liberia
Communication of 25.IX.1995:
Liberia Telecommunication Corporation (Libtelco), Monrovia, announces the resumption, on 20 September 1995 (2400 hours), of the international telephone traffic which was disrupted for the past five years due to the civil crisis. The subscriber's enquiries and international operator's enquiries can now be routed via their exchange.
Papua New Guinea
Communication of 29.IX.1995:
Telikom Port Moresby, a division of Post and Telecommunication Corporation, announces, further to previous communication on telephone number changes in the Southern region of Papua New Guinea in 1995, (see Operational Bulletin No. 585), that the existing six digit number length nationwide will all be converted to seven digit number length from February 1996.
The change will be effected by inserting of an additional digit between the first and second digits of the existing subscriber numbers.
Further information will be communicated, including the exact change dates and test numbers, once it is available.
