do not need to reapply the patch.
TEA has updated the Alternate Security Patch for Microsoft .NET Framework (2.0 and higher) located on the EDIT+ software download page linked from the home page. The Patch contains two elements, a trusted sites registry patch which identifies the TEA file servers to the user’s PC security settings as “trusted” sites, and a specific registry patch for Microsoft .NET Framework Client for versions 2.0 or higher. When the user downloads the Patch from the EDIT+ software download page and initiates the installation process, it will prompt the user for the Internet Explorer level ( 32-bit or 64-bit). It will then install the appropriate versions of the patches. Detailed instructions with screen shots are included on the following pages to assist users in installing the Patch.
Note: The patch should be applied based on the version of Internet Explorer the user is running, not the PC hardware capability. The default IE that is started from the Desktop is 32 bit, so if this is what the user intends to run, apply the patch responding 32 bit to the prompt.
Note: The installer must be logged into the PC with administrator rights on the PC in order to execute this Patch. If you do not have administrator rights, contact your local PC support technician. The patch will need to be installed on every PC used to send PEIMS collection files or PET files to TEA.
Determine your PC System Level
Start your Internet Explorer browser, select Help and then select About Internet Explorer to determine the level of IE you are running and whether it is 64-bit or not. If it is 32-bit there will not be anything shown after the version.
Or
If you have any doubts as to which version of Internet Explorer you are using, with Internet Explorer running, open the Task Manager (ALT+CTRL+DELETE), select Applications:
64-bit IE will appear as iexplore.exe.
32-bit IE will appear as iexplore.exe *32.
You can also install the patch twice selecting 32-bit once and again selecting 64-bit.
