8Predstavnici iz županija i jedinica lokalne samouprave koje čine regiju, tri člana Ministarstva regionalnog razvoja i po jedan predstavnik ostalih ministarstava Vlade RH, Središnjeg državnog ureda za razvojnu strategiju i koordinaciju fondova Europske unije, Agencije za regionalni razvoj Republike Hrvatske, županijskih razvojnih agencija s područja svake županije odnosne statističke regije, predstavnik Hrvatske gospodarske komore, Hrvatske obrtničke komore, Hrvatske poljoprivredne komore, Hrvatske udruge poslodavaca, Hrvatske turističke zajednice, sindikata, znanstvene zajednice, udruga hrvatskih branitelja iz Domovinskog rata i udruga koje djeluju u području zaštite okoliša ili održivog razvoja.

9 HDSSB je u listopadu 2012. godine poslao u proceduru interpelaciju o radu Vlade zbog odluke o podjeli zemlje na dvije statističke regije - Kontinentalnu i Jadransku Hrvatsku. Interpelaciju je podržalo ukupno 17 saborskih zastupnika (16 oporbenih i Damir Kajin)

10„U tijeku pregovora o razrješenju državne krize između republika tadašnje SFRJ, 1991. godine, predsjednik Republike Hrvatske dr. Franjo Tuđman donio je odluku o raspisivanju referenduma o državnoj samostalnosti Hrvatske. Na referendumu održanom 19. svibnja 1991. godine građani su odlučivali o budućnosti Hrvatske odgovarajući na dva ponuđena pitanja. Prvo je pitanje glasilo: Jeste li za to da Republika Hrvatska, kao suverena i samostalna država, koja jamči kulturnu autonomiju i sva građanska prava Srbima i pripadnicima drugih nacionalnosti u Hrvatskoj, može stupiti u savez suverenih država s drugim republikama (prema prijedlogu Republike Hrvatske i Republike Slovenije za rješenje državne krize SFRJ). Na to se pitanje, od 83, 56 posto birača koliko je izašlo na referendum, njih čak 94,17 posto izjasnilo potvrdno. Za ostanak Republike Hrvatske u Jugoslaviji kao jedinstvenoj saveznoj državi, što je bila druga ponuđena opcija, glasalo je tek 1,2 posto birača. Na osnovi neposredno iskazane volje građana na referendumu, a nakon neuspjeha daljnjih pregovora s ostalim bivšim jugoslavenskim republikama o izlasku iz državnopolitičke krize, Hrvatski je sabor 25. lipnja 1991. godine donio Ustavnu odluku o suverenosti i samostalnosti Republike Hrvatske. Ishod referenduma bio je polazište donošenja i Odluke o raskidu državno-pravne sveze sa ostalim republikama i pokrajinama SFRJ koju je Hrvatski sabor usvojio 8. listopada iste godine, čime je Republika Hrvatska i formalno-pravno postala samostalna i suverena država.“ (Sabor RH).

11Ustav definira Hrvatsku kao suverenu, jedinstvenu, demokratsku i socijalnu državu. Vlast proizlazi iz naroda i pripada narodu kao zajednici slobodnih i ravnopravnih državljana. Najviše vrednote ustavnog poretka Republike Hrvatske su: sloboda, jednakost, nacionalna ravnopravnost, mir, socijalna pravda, poštivanje prava čovjeka, nepovredivost vlasništva, očuvanje prirode i čovjekova okoliša, vladavina prava i demokratski višestranački sustav.

13IPARD je pretpristupni program Europske unije za razdoblje 2007. – 2013. godine. Sastavni je dio IPA-e (Instrument pretpristupne pomoći, eng. Instrument for Preaccession Assistance) i njegov je cilj pripremiti Republiku Hrvatsku za punopravno članstvo u Europskoj uniji.

14Ako bi se kao kriterij za dobivanje statusa gradova i općina postavilo 5.000 stanovnika, status grada izgubilo bi 18 gradova i čak 376 općina. Šest općina ima manje od 500 stanovnika, a najmanja općina Općina Cviljane ima samo 239 žitelja. Komiža je najmanji grad sa 1.526 stanovnika.
