ABSTRACT
The current stage of development of the education system is characterized by the comprehensive use of information
and communication technologies in the learning process. Informatization is the modernization of the education system.
And distance education is one of the areas of education, which includes learning using info-communication tools in this area.
Info-communication technologies in education form the relationship between the teacher and the student at a new
level. Information technology can be called everything that helps the student
to communicate remotely, including
communication between the student and the teacher, with other students, teaching materials, instructions, and so on. In
addition, advances in information and communication technology are enabling educators to apply a variety of strategies
to engage learners. This article focuses on the role of information and communication
technologies in distance
education in this area. At present, one of the important aspects is the mastery of information
and communication
technologies in accordance with modern trends related to the development of the information society.
