Use in congenital diaphragmatic hernia: In a case series of 13 infants with CDH treated with argipressin for refractory hypotension, argipressin (range 0.0001–0.002 units/kg/min) increased mean arterial pressure and decreased pulmonary/systemic pressure ratio, heart rate, and fraction of inspired oxygen. In 6 of 13 patients, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation therapy was no longer indicated after treatment. The role of argipressin in newborns with CDH and refractory hypotension is unclear.
