Abstract:
The large-scale penetration of electric vehicles
into road transport poses
a difficult task in ensuring a balance between supply and demand on the part of urban
districts. Electric vehicles, being moveable loads, can provide flexibility to the system.
This work explores the potential role of smart EV charging in
mitigating the impact of
integrating residential and public EV charging infrastructure into the grid. The article also
discusses a method for modeling intelligent charging of electric vehicles, which helps
reduce the load on the power grid during peak hours.
