    INSTALL THE DRIVERS ACCORDING TO THIS TEXT FILE BEFORE YOU INSERT THE CARD!!!!!
    Before you begin: Read the "Readme.txt" file found in the appropriate folder for your Operating System.
    Step 1: Identify your operating system. You can do this by right clicking on "My Computer" and selecting "Properties."
    Step 2: Locate the appropriate installation file for your operating system. If your Operating System is Windows '95, Windows '98 or Windows ME, you will open up the Windows 95, 98, ME folder. If your OS is Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 you will open the folder named Windows 2000, XP, 2003. If your OS is Windows NT 4 you will open the Windows NT folder.
    Step 3: Double click on the executable (.EXE) to run the software installation BEFORE you insert the card. The file should be called PCLTA21 OS name.exe, where OS name is a generic reference to your specific operating system.
    Step 4: Follow the prompts in the program.
    Step 5: Reboot your machine.
    Step 6: You should now be ready to insert your card. Windows should detect the new hardware, and you'll be ready to connect to your system (see section “After You Install the Drivers”).

    Remember to consult the "Readme.txt" file for further installation tips.

    After You Install the Drivers

    ============================
    Insert your card. Let Windows detect the hardware. Once the hardware has been detected, you will need to open Control Panel. Go to "Start" then depending on your operating system, you can move your mouse cursor over "Settings" (if you're using Windows 2000/98/ME/95) and choose Control Panel. If you are using Windows XP Control Panel should be available on the "Start" menu.
    Once Control Panel is open, look for an icon that says "Lonworks Plug 'n' Play". Double click the icon. You will be presented with a dialog box that has a few drop-down selections. Find the drop-down labeled "NI Application". Choose the selection, "PCC10 L7" then hit "Apply". Exit the Lonworks Plug 'n' Play applet.
    Next, when you open LonSpec, you will need to hit the icon that resembles a tool belt. It should be Light Blue, with two arrows pointing towards each other. Click on that icon and you will be shown a Communications Settings dialog. On the bottom drop down box, labeled "Network Interface" choose "PCMCIA" or “PCC10”. Then, on the first drop down box, labeled "Slot used", choose "PCCLON1", then hit OK. You should then be connecting to the system. Your connection icon, which was Light Blue, should turn to Gold (yellow) when you are online.

    ***Tip***

    If after completing the above steps for installing and configuring your PCC10 card you are still having trouble connecting, you should try to reboot your computer with the new card installed. This restarting of the computer forces Windows to refresh the drivers and configuration data.
