I am one of the senior citizens and I have lived in the city of Pertshire since I was born. I would like to give my opinion on the environmental impact of tourism as someone who has traveled throughout Asia on business and holiday. Having visited Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia I understand that tourism can bring money to developing countries. However, I cannot ignore the environmental problems that are affecting my hometown’s ecosystem. Unfortunately the department of tourism has not taken any effective measures to counteract the adverse effects of tourism in our town.
I would like to warn the local people of the possible dangers and I want to urge them to check that any tours or excursions we offer have minimal effect on the natural surroundings. Besides, we even need to attempt to change the behavior of tourists by sharing our environment-friendly opinions with them. If we follow these simple steps we can be sure that our business is not causing any harm to our town’s ecosystem.
