The textbook is intended for specialists involved in modern viticulture in
agriculture in the following areas: 5411000- fruit growing and crops storage and
primary processing and agricultural products prepared on the basis of a standard
curriculum and programs developed on the basis of state educational standards
approved by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the
Republic of Uzbekistan for bachelor students , undergraduates, doctoral students
studying in the areas of education, and specialists working in a production
environment.
In the process of writing the textbook "Fundamentals of viticulture" in the
world and the republic before and after gaining independence, including the
history of viticulture in Uzbekistan and the Bukhara region, stages of
development, resource-saving technology for planting and caring for grape
seedlings, tillage, salt washing, land preparation and planting a complex of
agricultural activities, including the preparation of grape seedlings that comply
with GOST, laying a garden, caring for the crop and harvesting, alternating crops
and cultivating the system in modern viticulture, the importance of grapes in
agriculture, the origin, structure, distribution of grape bushes. Morphological and
biological characteristics of grape varieties, characteristics of varieties included
in the state register and widely distributed, zoned varieties, variety substitution,
methods of reproduction of grape bushes, types of nurseries, planting grape
seedlings, the basics of resource-saving technological care, diseases and pests of
grapes found on grape bushes. Particular attention is paid to modern methods of
their protection, feeding, resource-saving methods of irrigation, pruning and
shaping, harvesting, transportation, drying, storage, growing grapes based on
modern resource-saving technologies.
The textbook also presents basic expressions and theoretical issues.
This textbook on the basics of modern resource-saving viticulture in the
Republic of Uzbekistan can be widely used by specialists and teachers of higher
educational institutions, doctoral students, undergraduates and students, managers
and specialists of artisanal and farm enterprises, amateur gardeners and readers
working in the field of agriculture, viticulture.
