Dial Up Settings for Windows XP
Click on Start button
Control Panel
Network & Internet Connections
Create New Connection
Wizard:
New Connection Wizard
Next – Connect to Internet
Next – Setup My Connection Manually
Next – Connect using a dialup modem
Next – Connection Name – Type Samoa.ws
Next – Phone Number – Type 902
Next – Connection Availability – Click on Anyone’s use
Next – Put in User Name
Password
Confirm Password
Remove tick in “Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this Connection”
Next – Tick “Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop”
Finish
(A new icon “Samoa.ws” is on your Connection Window)
1. Select your newly created Samoa.ws icon and right-click the mouse button
Choose Properties
2. Under the General Tab
Change Phone Number to 902
Remove Tick in “Use Country Code” and/or “Use Area Code”
3. Click on Networking General Tab
Tick Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
4. Click Properties
Click “Use the following DNS server Addresses”
Put in the Primary DNS numbers
202.4.48.215
Put in the Secondary DNS numbers
202.4.48.216
5. Click OK
6. And OK to all open windows.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You can now connect to the Internet

Part 1 – Dial-Up Network Set-up
From
the Desktop select
1. My Computer
2. Dial-up Networking
3. Make New Connection
4. Type name Samoa.ws
5. Select modem from list
6. Click Configure
7. Click Options
8. Make sure there are No ticks
in Connection Control area
9. Click OK
10. Click Next
11. Set phone number 902
12.Country code = Western Samoa
13.Click Next
14.Click Finished
Part 2 – Setting New Connection Properties
1. Select your newly create
Samoa.ws icon and
right-click the mouse button
2. Choose Properties
3. Change phone number to 902 [1]
4. Remove the tick in “Use Country code …” box
5. Press “Server Types”
Part 3 – Setting the Server Type and TCP/IP
1. There should be a tick in 2 boxes only:
i. Enable software compression
ii. TCP/IP
2. Click the TCP/IP Settings button (after ticking the corresponding box)
Click the option button for Server assigned IP address
Click the option button for Specify name server addresses
Primary DNS : 202.4.48.215
Secondary DNS: 202.4.48.216
Click OK
In the next window, select the General tab
Select Configure
Select Options
Neither of the options in Connection Control should be selected
Press OK
MAIL SERVER SETTINGS
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop3.samoa.ws
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.samoa.ws
