Figure 2. Scheme of integrated forecasting by enterprise
Electric meters are the main sources of information for AECAS. In general, electromagnetic
devices are used to control and record electric induction meters. Induction counters have a low
price, are simple to manage, but are completely unsuitable for modern accounting systems. The
automatic system requires electronic meters called smart meters (Figure 2).
Figure 2. Types of electric meters
A smart meter is a device for accurate accounting of the electricity consumed at a specific
facility (or a specific subscriber) and transmitting the collected data to the supplier or the next level
of the system.[3]
A smart meter should be able to:
–
measurement of electricity consumption and evaluation of the value of the main
characteristics of its amount;
–
transfer of information to the organization that organizes electricity supply;
–
reporting of illegal meter connection attempts;
–
preparation of information about the consumer's demand for electricity;
–
remember information.
Transmission of data on electricity consumption can be done in several ways. In one of them,
information is sent to the supply operator with a different frequency signal on the basis of special
technologies in the electrical wires through which electricity is transmitted. From another method,
information is organized through a cellular communication system based on GSM technologies.
Summary. A system called automated electricity control and accounting system (AECAS) has
been established in the Republic to control and manage the amount of electricity consumption in
enterprises. In addition to its technical equipment, this system has a special program. It has the
ability to make the necessary management decision by expressing not only the periodic
consumption, but also the current (instant) consumption.
