Note: With the release of version 3.0.XXXX of the Kyocera KX Printing System, several changes have been made to the driver to improve the experience when upgrading the KX driver. Please refer to the Limitations in the version 3.0 Kyocera KX Printing System for more information.
New in this Release
The Kyocera KX Printing System for Windows 95 OSR2, 98, 98 SE, Me, NT4, 2000, XP and Server 2003 with support for PCL 5e, PCL 5c, PCL XL and KPDL Page Description Languages is updated to version 3.0.1026.
Language support for Lithuanian and Turkish is added to this Release.

Windows PostScript Printer Description (PPD) files are updated to v8.0 for all Windows versions.

Notes for using the Printer Utilities
Microsoft Internet Explorer v 5.01 is required to use any of the Printer Utilities.
USB connection support is not supported for Windows 95.
In Windows 98/ME; if the printers are connected via LPT, USB or COM, verify that a Kyocera KX driver is installed before attempting to use these Printer Utilities.
Verify that TCP/IP or IPX protocols are installed before installing the Printer Utilities.
COM connections are not supported in Windows NT4.0, 2000 and XP. LPT and USB connections are supported for printer models that support both USB and Parallel ports.
You cannot print or delete jobs with an IPX connection. IPX will only display the list of jobs.
Notes for this Release
Mini-drivers for PCL and KPDL are packaged in self extracting Web Installers and can be found as detailed below.
For Windows 95/98/Me, the Mini-Driver files are located in the \\Drivers\Mini-Drivers\Win9X_Me\ directory.
For Windows XP and 2000, the Mini-Driver files are located in the \\Drivers\Mini-Drivers\Win2K_XP\ directory.
For Windows NT4, the Mini-Driver files are located in the \\Drivers\Mini-Drivers\WinNT4\ directory.
Linux support can be found in the \\Linux folder at the root of the KMSL CD-ROM. Support is included for printing with PDQ and CUPS. ReadMe.HTM files can be found in the \\Linux\KMPDQ folder for PDQ support and \\Linux\PPD folder for CUPS support. Both documents detail how to install the driver files and discuss the known issues for these two printing methods under Linux.
Individual Driver files for Novell NDPS and Novell Point and Print can be found in the \\Drivers\Novel NDPS and \\Drivers\KXDriver folders respectively. Please refer to the Novell.RTF file in the \\Drivers directory.
The Auto-Installer on the CD-ROM will install the KX User Mode driver in Windows 2000.
The Manual Duplex feature does not work in Adobe Acrobat 6.0 when Allow Data Passthrough is enabled for the KPDL Page Description Language.
