Was your monitor selected on startup.

You can verify that the correct monitor was selected by the following:

Right mouse click on the desktop (move the mouse cursor to an empty spot on the screen and click the right mouse button), A dialog box as shown at right will appear, select "Properties" and left mouse click to open the Display Properties dialog box.
