Was your monitor selected on startup.

You can verify that the correct monitor was selected by the following:

Right mouse click on the desktop (move the mouse cursor to an empty spot on the screen and click the right mouse button), A dialog box as shown at right will appear, select "Properties" and left mouse click to open the Display Properties dialog box.

In the Display Properties dialog box, click on the "Settings" Tab. If your monitor is listed, it has been detected.
If your monitor is not detected automatically, continue with "Selecting your monitor"
