An important raw material in the production of glass is sodium-
containing components, the source of which is soda ash and sodium
sulfate. There is a Kungrad soda plant producing soda ash (plant capa-
city 200 thousand tons per year), sodium sulfate (150 tons/day) and
Prom sodium sulfate LLC (15 tons/day) are produced in sufficient
quantities and quality for glass production.

In conclusion, I would like to note that
in the Republic of Uzbe-
kistan the glass industry is becoming a rapidly developing sector, which
is of interest in the republic from both the Government and business.
Economic and other opportunities justify the
conclusion that in the
coming years, the production and export of canned foods and other
sweets from sunny Uzbekistan, overstocked in glassware, will increase.
