Adam & his wife are buried in the Pioneer Cemetery, but no

George Scott Dickey, one of the early settlers of the

Musquodoboit Valley was born in Truro in1830. He was a grandson

of Thomas Dickey who was born in Glasgow, Scotland. Thomas md.

Elizabeth, 3rd dau. of George and Elizabeth Scott. He settled in

Truro, they had 3 sons and 1 dau.

Australia with many others. Returning in 1858 he md. Susanna

Bates and they settled in Musquodoboit on the farm now owned by

Hugh McKay, 1980. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace in

1867, an office which he held until his death. George and Susanna

(Bates) Dickey had 7 sons and 7 daus., both buried in Hillside

cemetery. Susanna d May 7, 1910, age 72, George d Dec. 25, 1913,

age 83.
