Sarah Dunbrack (b1813) married David Scott, 4th son of William

and Esther Whippie Scott, David born May 24, 1812 in Onslow. The

Scotts came to Musquodoboit between 1814 and 1817. It is thought

David and Sarah were married in 1840 in Nova Scotia. They had 4

sons and 2 daughters.

David, wife Sarah and two children Rebecca and Ephriam moved to

Toronto in 1848. They cleared three farms in Ontario before they

Ga. R Cemetery, Snohomish, Washington.

Robert Ervin


Robert Ervin came from County Antrim, Ireland. His first wife,

whose maiden name was Ann Rath, died leaving him with 2 sons and

2 daughters.

Robert's second wife was Mary Henderson, a bride, when they

sailed with the children on a vessel built, owned and commanded

by Captain Phillip Drew, an American. This was in the summer of

1812, and Robert's shipmates were said to be the Bells,

Hendersons and Lecks, all of whom settled in Musquodoboit. Robert

bought a large piece of land in Halifax, where he and his sons

built quite a number of houses and set up a milk business. A

second familywas born.

Robert took up a grant of land, 300 acres, in Taylor Settlement,

now Chaswood. This was divided between his sons Charles and

Samuel. The brook running north and south was the dividing

line. Robert died 1834 and is buried in Pioneer cemetery as is

his wife, Mary.

2-1 Nancy (1st daughter of Robert and Ann Rath Ervin) married

William Wilson, about 1820. In 1833 he came to Chaswood and

bought the farm which was later owned by James Leck. They had 8

sons and 3 daus.
