main part of it is transported by light industrial products. But the products are mainly
exported as a resource, and most of it is cotton. Today, efforts are being made to
change this result, which is the development of export as a finished product. For
example, there are many advantages, the profit from the import of raw materials
may not amount to a large amount, but it will be more
profitable if the finished
product is manufactured and imported using this raw material. The main reason for
this is that the necessary raw materials for textiles are abundant in Uzbekistan, so
the cost of the produced goods is much cheaper. Apart from that, the goods
produced by the state in the field of textiles create a great opportunity to introduce
their brands to the world market. Together with this, it can have a good effect on the
reputation of Uzbek textile brands in the world market, and in addition, an
opportunity to attract foreign investors will be created. This can be seen as the main
factors of the export values, which are listed above. Moreover, the increase in the
volume of export creates great conveniences for the state, for example, it helps the
development of the state's economy, besides, foreign currency comes in behind
exports, because almost all processes in Uzbekistan are carried out in dollars.
According to the CEO of Indenim LLC, one of the main weaknesses
of this industry
is companies that are used to outsourcing. Because I know that some Uzbek
clothing brands fill almost 80% of their stores through imports, but they don't want
to mention their names, he said. Unfortunately, there are many such brands, and in
his opinion, this can be beneficial for the company, but on the other hand, there are
many disadvantages. According to the last observations of the respondent Azizjon
Boboazizov, the indicators of the export of textile products from Uzbekistan are
increasing, if this process continues at this rate, these indicators point to the future
situation, that is, to increases his confidence for the growth of exports. But the
market does not always move in the same rhythm and it was found that measures
should be taken accordingly.
Based on the answer from the experience of Sardora Toshtemirova, a highly
experienced employee of the Buying department, it was determined that some
business owners in the textile sector produce a special product for export.
Accordingly, some textile business owners produce a

export. But the downside is that such products will not be of the same quality as
export products for the domestic market, or they will not be produced at all, the
respondent emphasized through his practical experience. However, she
emphasized that the future export potential of the textile sector will grow closely to
the domestic market, regardless of the death of such processes in this field or
making changes.
According to Zarina
To’ychieva, an employee of the Buying Department, improving
the business environment and expanding the export potential of small businesses
and private enterprises, creating favorable
conditions for them, searching for and
adopting innovations will serve to develop and increase the export potential now
and in the future. In this regard, Malika Toshtemirova presented specific information
which are territorial characteristics of export of the textile industry were studied.
According to estimates, Andijan, Namangan, Tashkent, Fergana regions and the
city of Tashkent are the main exporters of textile products (the share of the region
in the total volume of goods exports in 2021 is 11.0-17.5%, the total is 66.6% ).
Export of almost 500 textile products to more than 65 countries of the world has
been launched in Uzbekistan. Russia, China, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan remain the
main trading partners (80% of textile products are exported to these countries). It is
above
that the regions of Andijan, Jizzakh, Namangan, Samarkand, Syrdarya,
Tashkent, Fergana have an advantage in the export of finished products, as it is
said that there are more benefits from ready-made products in export, and more
than 80% of the exports of the Republic are made up of clothing and clothing items.
According to the statistics given by the
respondent Malika Toshpulatova, it was
found that in 2023, textile products and sewing products increased by 107.2%
compared to the same period last year, and the export of textile materials and
products amounted to 3.17 billion dollars.
Mamurjon Okhunov emphasized that we can develop in the field of textile production
in terms of production, but it is more difficult for us to develop in terms of sales, that
is, it takes time, that is, we can develop not as a selling brand, but as a
manufacturing plant brand. Because special subsidies
are allocated for this,
additional opportunities for special tax benefits and preferential loans are allocated,
this sector is currently in good condition, good enough, small business, that is,

sufficient for small business, the respondent reasoned. Textile enterprises have a
good income now in the export sector. Then, in the future, this will allow other
businesses to move beyond the domestic market into the export sector as they see
this sector improve. After it moves from the domestic market to the export sector, it
again enters a new enterprise to fill the domestic market, in this process, new
enterprises are opened, manufacturing enterprises are opened to fill the domestic
market. It was determined by the respondent that this will help the old enterprises
operating in the domestic market to export. The
main points are that, despite the
findings of all the respondents regarding the situation in the textile sector and the
approaches to the value of export, all of them were able to build a brand by
developing strategic systems and the development of the textile sector for
Uzbekistan, and it was found that the potential of export in the textile sector is high.
