positively motivating students and triggering the new models of pedagogy to be used in teaching.
However, both teachers and students need to be digitally literate in order to benefit from this
experience. These factors brought new paradigms of education into surface: online learning,
hybrid (blended) learning, and different types of collobarative methods of learning. Institutions
that are positively incooperating these methods of teaching into classrooms are not only teaching
their specialty but also equipping students with stronger digital skills, which has become a very
necessary skill in our society and many societies across the globe. And, of course, students are
positively motivated with these methods as well. Below, some of the IT enhaced learning methods
will be given as an example to further support the positive enhancement Innovative Modern
technology is bringing into classrooms.
1.
IT as a gamechanger in teaching-learning English
a.
Best Teacher In-Class Tool
Educational technology today benefits teachers in many ways. Traditional education is no
longer so effective, and teachers need to motivate their students more when they present any
materials in the classroom. Books faded into the background, and technology means that lessons
can be much richer in content and more active than before. The Dexway Teacher Pack
methodology helps educational centers implement the blended learning method, which has
shown great success in the classroom.
b.
Technology motivates students
Using technology both in the classroom and outside it makes students feel more motivated
by using devices with which they can practice the language with features such as voice
recognition, interactive multimedia exercises, etc. For young students, this is much more
challenging learning with a lesson on a tablet or smartphone than with a traditional textbook and
its CD of practical exercises. The technology transforms students from passive recipients to active
students and allows a deeper and more enriching linguistic immersion. Students learn an English
course using comprehensive applications that synchronize even without the Internet.
c.
Easy to manage and monitor student performance
Compiling and maintaining lists of student groups, managing courses, evaluating students
using tests and examinations, many tasks that are administrative in nature today are solved
thanks to online educational platforms that offer countless functionalities adapted to the needs
of educational centers.
2.
Different methods
Blended learning experience. Teachers use digitalized platform with more conventional
forms of learning in this method of teaching. The combined pre-session course offered by King's
College of English (King's College London) combines individualized instruction with online lessons.
For teachers who want to combine their daily lessons with hands-on online lessons, Lindsay
Clandfield and Jill Hadfield Interaction Online - Creative blended classes emphasize the interaction
between teachers and students.
Mobile learning. With the era of smart devices, mobile phones coming on top, are widely
used in classroom nowadays. If a teacher wants his/her learners to experience both fun and
engaging learning, there are many apps available. Wordable (Playlingo Ltd. with Cambridge
University Press) turns vocabulary learning into a fun, competitive game that a learner can play
with friends. It has built-in, spaced repetition and active-recall learning to make new words
engraved into memory.
Gamification. Turning to football fans, LearnMatch (VE Vision Education GmbH) uses
classrooms, friendlies, leagues and cup games to make vocabulary learning fun for young learners.
