3.5 Reliability and Validity of the Research
In a qualitative research, assessing dependability is critical. These two concepts,
like reliability and validity in quantitative research, serve as a starting point for
investigating their meaning in a qualitative research paradigm. Although the term
"reliability" refers to the examination or evaluation of quantitative research, it is

    Research Methodology

commonly employed in all forms of research. If we think of testing as a method of
retrieving information, the most significant test of any qualitative research is its
quality (Golafshani and Nahid, 2003, pp. 597-607). Validity is broadly defined in
qualitative research. This idea is not a single, permanent, or universal concept, but
"rather a contingent construct, inescapably grounded in the processes and
intentions of particular research methodologies and projects" (Winter, 2000, pp. 1-
    14).
    3.6 Research Ethics
Due to the fact that research involves working with people, human factors are taken
into account, including the ethical behavior of individuals that may occur during the
process. For this reason, in order to control this process, agreements and concepts
were introduced in the interviews with the respondents in the research conducted
on the study of textile business development strategies in uzbekistan and a branding
approach for sustainable growth. Some ethical principles have been developed
regarding the behavior and behavior of these respondents. First of all, the
respondents who agreed to the interview were given an explanation, and this was
done by e-mail, that is, they were told exactly why this interview is being conducted
and why and how the data will be used. In addition, the purpose of the research and
the importance of the information and opinions presented by them in the interview
    process were emphasized.
Apart from that, the processes conducted with the respondents were all based on
their consent and this process ensured that the interviews were carried out in an
ethical manner. Respondents were interviewed with informed consent and were
promised that the information obtained would be used for research purposes only.
During the interview, permission was obtained from the respondents to record the
process, if permission was not given, necessary information for transcription was
noted down. Interviewees were not harmed or asked any questions about their
identity during the process to protect their privacy and security.
