    Azimuthal; equidistant.
    Graticule 
    Polar aspect. Meridians: equally spaced, straight lines intersecting at the 
    central pole. Parallels: equally spaced circles centered at the pole. The entire 
    can be shown.
    Scale 
    True along any straight line radiating from the center.
    Distortion 
    Only the center is distortion-free.
    Usage 
    Polar aspect is used for maps of the polar region; oblique aspect is frequently 
    centered on major cities to show distances.
    Other 
    Also called zenithal equidistant. Can be used in polar, equatorial, or oblique 
    aspects.

    Only the center is distortion-free.
    Usage 
    Polar aspect is frequently used for atlas maps of polar regions.
    Other 
    Can be used in polar, equatorial, or oblique aspects.
