SCIENTIFIC-THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT
TRENDS OF "GREEN ECONOMY"
A.Akramova, Student of Tashkent state university of economics
A green economy is an economy that aims to reduce environmental risks and
ecological scarcity and achieve sustainable development without destroying the
environment. It is closely related to ecological economics, but has a more politically
applied orientation. The Green Economy Report notes that to be green, an economy
must
be not only efficient, but also fair. Fairness involves recognizing global and
country-level dimensions of equity, particularly ensuring a just transition to a low-
carbon, resource-efficient and socially inclusive economy.
"Green economy" has its place in ensuring sustainable development. Therefore,
first of all, let's talk about the concept of "green economy"
and the process of
transition to "green economy": Green economy is a system that supports the
harmonious interaction between humanity and nature and
at the same time It is a
methodology of the economy that tries to satisfy both needs equally, aims at efficient
use of resources and sustainable development without harming the environment. The
absence of generally accepted approaches to clarifying the essence of the concept of
"green economy" indicates that the concept of "green economy" is still in the
formative stage. This concept can be applied to economic sectors, "green economy"
theory, principles, or "green economy" policies. The goal of the "green economy"
concept is to ensure sustainable economic growth and
increase the activity of
investments, as well as to improve the quality of environmental protection and social
integration. In order to achieve this goal, it will be necessary to involve public and
private investments in environmental and social factors of sustainable development
on a large scale.
In addition, the following are defined as the
priority directions for the
implementation of the strategy of the transition to the "green" economy of the
Republic of Uzbekistan in the period of 2019-2030:
-
Improving the energy efficiency of the basic sectors of the economy;
-
Diversification of the consumption of energy resources and development of
the use of renewable energy sources;
-
Adapting to and mitigating the consequences of climate change, increasing
the efficiency of natural resource use and protecting natural ecosystems;
-
Development of financial and non-financial
mechanisms to support the
"Green Economy";
